When using Kinko’s file prep tool, which prints a file to a pdf like file for printing at Kinko’s, and saving the file to My Documents, I can not find the file in the My Documents folder I normally use. A search finds the file in C:Documents & SettingLocal ServicesMy Documents. I am unable to find the Local Services folder using Explorer. The only folders listed under Docs & Settings are Administrator, All Users, Default User, and a Folder with my name, which contains a My Documents folder with my documents. I can not find a path which contains the Local Services folder. (I have my options set to show hidden files.) The only way I can recover the file is to right click on the found file, and select Send To – My Documents. The file then appears in My Documents.

are you logged in as admin or a user? if you are a user i think that folder remains hidden, but it’s visible from admin log ons.

If you right click on the found file, what folder is this file in?

Thanks, that trick worked. Found the folder and files in the Shared Documents folder in a folder “(my name) Documents. Not sure how they got there but I have now resolved it.
