I have installed Winamp [WA] on my new PC – Win 8.1, 64-bit. However, it is not listed in the ‘Set Your Default Programs’ section of ‘default programs’ in my Control Panel even though it’s in File Explorer. WA is recognised in the file association section though.

Also, (and just as importantly to me as one of those music geeks (!)), the .flac extension is not listed under the file extensions listing for ‘file associations’ either.

I’m really confused by all this. Is there a reason why WA iss missing from the list of default programs? Is there some way of adding it to the list? Could it be that the latest version of WA – v5.666 – is just not compatible with 64-bit? Finally, how do I get my computer to recognise the .flac extension?
