Misbehaving Page Dates (FP2002)

i have a couple of hosted sites on Win2000 Server. On each page, i use the FP autoupdated date component set to ‘Date this page was last edited’ in the header.

The Problem: ALMOST every page shows the date of the last edited page. EXCEPT, that my What’s New page, generated with the Page in Category extension, shows the CORRECT date on each page.

What is going on, and what can i do to correct it? The host hasnt seen this before, and wonders if it is FP or something else…

Is it the one that starts with this inside a comment tag?

[/indent]Ooops. Well, anyway, in my ASP pages, I substituted this:

Response.Write FormatDateTime(Date, 1)

[/list]in the appropriate place. Although I haven’t coded it, I presume you could accomplish the same result in a regular HTML page with a bit of inline JavaScript.

Now, unlike me, you want to show the last edited date. If I am correct in my understanding, change your S-Type from “REGENERATED” to “EDITED”.

The S-type is currently set to EDITED, so that’s not it.

ASP is an item on my “things to learn” list.

I guess I have to confess I don’t know what the Page in Category thing is, so I can’t really say whether there might be a serious incompatibility between these two ‘bots. But that’s what I suspect.

The Table of Contents/Based on Page Category is a way to publish a What’s new page, by specifying a descending sorting on page date. E.g., What’s New.
However, that bot, and the date bot are of the FP02 extensions, used in many places, so i would expect that if there were some kind of interference, we would hear more about ‘problems’.
