I have a new MS wedge Bluetooth mouse, and an old WRT54GL router, latest firmware. The mouse is most likely impacting the WiFi, but the problem I notice is that when the network is active, for instance with a file transfer, the mouse is unusable. It freezes, then jumps around erratically. As soon as the transfer stops, the mouse goes back to normal.

Bluetooth is frequency agile, and should find a minimum interference point. Is there a 2.4 GHz WiFi channel which is less likely to interfere? I am going to be moving to a 5 GHz router in a couple of months which should solve the problem, so I am just looking for an interim solution, even if not perfect.

Sorry, can’t recommend anything but trial and error.

Could try a different Wi-Fi channel in you router wireless settings.Maybe find a less congested channel.
