Microsoft.Windows.Remediation failed to start

Microsoft Update Health Tools arrived unannounced on 2/19/2021.  On 2/20/2021  I started receiving the following error:

Session “Microsoft.Windows.Remediation” failed to start with the following error: 0xC0000035

Source: Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-EventTracing

Event ID 2

I’m guessing they are related.  No one here much likes Microsoft Update Health Tools, so I guess I should uninstall it.  Just wanted to check before I did.

Does anyone else who has Microsoft Update Health Tools on their computer get this error?  Is it a known issue?

Might the error be coming from another source?

I have the update installed on my 20H2 with no problems.

Thank you for your response.  I followed the link you provided but I was not having any boot up problems.  Still, I do have a WD external hard drive I use once a week to back up my computer.

So, I plugged in my WD Easystore external hard drive in its usual USB port and no error.  Then I restarted the computer with it plugged in and the error appeared.  That’s all that happens.  Everything works fine.

Since I am having no problems, perhaps this is just another error in the Event Viewer that can be ignored?

Well, I searched some more and found that this is an error associated with Microsoft Update Health Tools that can be generated by anything it does not like and external devices connected at start up are things it does not like.  I guess somehow, they interfere with update.

So, I uninstalled Microsoft Update Health Tools and restarted my computer with my WD Easystore device attached and no error appeared.

No watch dog/ no error.
