Those of you in the Insider PC Fast ring, fire up your engines. I’m expecting some changes in this build. Downloading it now. Update in the morning.

REMINDER: Windows 10 Creators Update is still beta test software. You can only play with it if you’ve signed up for the Insider Program, which is Microsoft’s beta testing group. If you aren’t running Creators Update, don’t worry about it. This will all sort out before Creators Update appears in a month or so.

I converted the ESD fine, no problems. I waited till this morning to Install from ISO.

I did a UUP Download but the conversion to Delta ISO failed because of a missing Blob. OKAY, out of 7.3 GB of CAB’s, and ESD’s it had to work with, a BLOB got lost….. 🙁 I did not try again.

ESD Full ISO installed fine this morning!

No Firewall/Network issues link on Build 15042.

      Tough luck here.

On a VM, coming from 15042

      Fail!

I’m running Win10 Technical Preview in a Parallels VM on a Macmini with Intel HD Graphics 4000 + 1536MB and a Thunderbolt monitor at 2560×1440.

I have had BSODs on the last two Builds (15042 and 15046) with the stop code SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED on the reboot after the Parallels Tools installation. If, in the troubleshooting screen after the BSOD, I choose to restart and use option 3.(Allow Low Res Video), Win10 comes up in low res, pops into his res, and runs OK till the next reboot – another BSOD. So the problem seems to be in the graphics.

To prevent the BSOD on each reboot I have found this workaround:
After the boot using the Low Res option, I go to Settings\General and choose either 1600×900 or 2048×1152 (same ratio) and apply the setting. The resolution is reduced. But on reboot, the native resolution 2560×1440 is reset in Settings and I no longer have a (apparent) problem with BSODs.

Hopefully this will be worked out by MS or Parallels soon before 1607 is forcefully upgraded to Creators Update. Otherwise, I’ll be waiting for it to bite me in the back.
