    It’s a manual patch, designed to fix a bug in the August 1 non-security patch KB 4011051. Post coming in Computerworld.

      A patch to fix a patch. That’s how Microsoft operates these days. At first I gave Google’s ideal of a Enterprise Chrome OS little traction. But if Microsoft keeps mucking up stuff, maybe enterprise will start looking at alternatives?

      So, one of our old vb6 products doesn’t work at all since kb4011051, but nothing to do with hyperlinks or the other issues in the article. Time to test.

      Can this be applied to systems with office 365? Our o365 users are having the same issues with the same application, but there doesn’t appear to be a fix on the update channels

        If it’s relevant to anyone else, this KB did fix our issue for MSI installer versions of Excel, but it’s not applicable to Office365 installations.
