Interesting…. the January 2019 updates had an AMD-specific vulnerability fix for Spectre.  But this VM problem only affects AMD’s mobile and tablet CPUs on older versions of Windows.

So this is not the year old VN NIC bug, is it?

problem not fixed in new KB4486563 Win7 rollup and the rollups for Win8/8.1.

also it is not only a Win7 problem but also occurs under Win8 embedded/Server 2012 and Win8.1/Server 2012 R2 as well.

it’s not only for AMD mobile CPU’s.

We have this on Dell R715 hosts with AMD Opteron 6376 CPU’s.

Absolutely correct… it is Win 8.1 Security-only… and also has the same bug.
