AskWoody LoungerMarch 6, 2017 at 8:52 am #99242Ever so slightly before my time! 3.11 For Workgroups was my first computer not long after it was released, and I remember being one of the first kids on the block to have a CD ROM drive after relentlessly failing to upgrade to Windows 95 using floppies over & over.
Somewhere in a box in my storage area those 20-some floppies still exist. I’m not sure where they are out there but I know they share a box with a brand new (still in the box) 5 1/4 floppy disk drive with a 6 pack of unopened floppies.

ManagerMarch 6, 2017 at 12:52 pm #99310Apparently the virus got its name because Michelangelo was born on March 6, 1475.
I got an email from V reminding me that the latest escapades of McAfee are enshrined here:
Including a link to his infamous speech on how to uninstall McAfee antivirus.
The latest reference I can find about him is this from Wikipedia:
On August 2, 2015, McAfee was arrested in Henderson County, Tennessee, on charges of one count of driving under the influence and one count of possession of a firearm while intoxicated.

In spite of the nasty rumors, I assure you I was at least one hour away at the time.
