    Hello

In my database I have a field which contains a hyperlink. I have used this field in a query to populate a Mail Merge in Word. (2010) In the word document it appears as text and not a hyperlink ie 269972#http://meteor.aihw.gov.au/content/index.phtml/itemId/269972#.

Any suggestions why this has happened?

It’s been a long time since I tried to do that sort of thing, but I seem to recall that you need to embed the mail merge field within the field codes in Word that define text to be a hyperlink. Can you provide more details on the word merge field? A sample document would be helpful.

The document “WordMailmerge Tips and Trips” is excellent, however, I now have another problem which doesnt seem to be addressed in it.

I have a memo field in my database which I have set to be RTF format. I am using this in my mailmerge, however it is appearing in the document with the HTML showing. How do I get rid of this?

        Guide for use:

        Kind Regards

A mailmerge can only output what’s actually in your data. Since the data contain the “

      ” and “

” strings, the mailmerge can’t delete them. You may need to modify the database so it also holds a plain text version of your rich text memo fields.
