Can anyone tell me why my “seach” (files and folders) function no longer works on Windows ME? I input the file name press “search” or”enter” and nothing happens. It worked when I first set it up.

Define ‘doesn’t work.’ Does it display no results? Is it perhaps searching the desktop only? Or some other tiny folder?

Or maybe it really is hosed…and then it would be a pain to track down.

WHen I input the file-name the search button or enter key just does nothing. It doesn’t search at all – no little egg-timers or anything.

DenGar, Thanks. I’ve just checked that out and although I’m not on my Windows ME computor I’m sure it’s the answer. Thanks again.
