After some use or just resting overnight, IE6 gives up and can’t even find home. Often it takes Explorer with it. A reboot of the machine will fix it, but I have found that something has changed File Types and URL now opens Rundll etc. Changing this back to open “C:……iexplore.exe” – nohome fixes the problem.
Does anyone know what is changing my file type or how to correct this? IE6 has been repaired even in safe mode. IE6 also screws up Belkin UPS monitor program (latest update), no apparent link to above problem.

I don’t have any suggestions to fix your problem but could you tell me how what the exact formatting of the nohome command line switch is – I would like to use it

      Thanks

I don’t know. It is referenced in a KB article which I can’t find right now, also OE5 FAQ at http://chattanooga.net/~scochran/ielnk.htm . I just looked at mine and it has already changed to
-nohome %1 . There are a number of comments about IE6 and explorer on the MSN netnews but no answers. I find explorer dies with IE6 when it locks up and without careful pruning I get a BSOD which requires a power off to get out of.

Are any of you that are having problems using “Hibernation”?

Hibernation = BSOD! My problem is I swapped an old A: drive out of an old AT and that ended that. Late night fix that didn’t really fix. Can’t blame ME for my lazyness. bummer
