Match and get related data (excel 97)

I have two worksheets. One contains the original data.(A column is the item numbers,B column is the prices) The another is the main worksheet. In this sheet I want to show the price in column B1 when I just input the item number in A1. What is the function to compare the items and get the price from the original data into the main worksheet?
