Master Patch List/windows Update

I’ve followed what seems to be the consensus here and locked down Windows Update, using the tools recommended by Susan Bradley, so I do all patching of the OS manually. The problem is several of her recommended patches can be installed only through Windows Update, e.g. 504981, 505411. What to do? (I locked down Windows Update so long ago, I’ve forgotten how to unlock it.)

You can either install them from the catalog

Or as long as you don’t enable preview updates, you can still use Windows update or one of the http://www.blockapatch.com tools to selectively install updates.
