I download a lot of music. Included in the file name for each song is it’s title, artist name, album name, track number, etc. Before I load the songs onto my MP3 player I delete all this other stuff except the actual song title name from the file name. This allows me to play the songs in alphabetical order. Does anyone know of any software available to do this to a large number of files instead of the “one at a time” method that I’m using now?

Try Bulk Rename which supports “regular expressions” AND has it’s own support forum if you get stuck.
