mapi error 0x80040107 (Outlook 2k2)

I am getting error “mapi error 0x80040107” when I try to import an excel file into my contact list. A check on the KB only discusses Exchange 5.5, which I am not using (I’m using a simple home computer OL2k2 install.

Any other ideas on cause of this “descriptive” message.

What is the source of this Excel file?
Is it set up in the correct manner for it to be imported?

It is coming from a local hard drive. It is correct as far as I can tell. I finally got it to import by deleting the existing contact file (since the excel file contained all fields and data and saying add duplicates rather than replace duplicates. The error only happens for the replace duplicate option.
