Last year I created a merge document in Word (97 SR2), memo2001.doc, that used a query in an Access database (97 SR2) named data2001.mdb.

For this year’s memo, I copied memo2001.doc into memo2002.doc, making necessary text corrections.

Can I easily change the data source of memo2002.doc to look at data2002.mdb rather than data2001.mdb? The only method I can see is to (a) convert the merge document back to a normal document and then ( recreate the merge document with the new data source. Any other answers?

I couldn’t find the solution in Word’s help file.

In the Mail Merge dialog box the 2nd option, Get Data drop down list, select Open Data Source (Not Create Data Source) and pick data2002.
