Hi Everyone…
This is probably a dumb question but I just go crazy when I hear new terminology (to me) and don’t know what it is…
Can anyone explain to me what “Excel Macro Tracing” is? …I’ve searched online with no luck so far…

Are you referrring to STEP mode where you can step thru a macro line by line?
You can get to this in DEBUG in VB,
or while in the macro pane press to step line-by-line,
or from excel : tools – macro – macros
select the macro then
If that is not it, could you be more specific or gives us more context to the phrase.

Hi Steve…
Thanks for the reply… I know alllllll about stepping through code… Been there, done that a million times!
Maybe that is what the person was talking about when they said tracing…
Who knows… I just thought maybe this was a generally used term that I just hadn’t read or heard yet…
I’m checking some code before this person leaves our company and in the email he said:
“You’ve used VBA and macro-tracing in Excel, so I’m sure most of it will be pretty intuitive for you, but let me know if you have any questions/concerns/etc. ”
Now, rather than go ask a stupid question face to face, I thought I’d ask the question here so that I don’t have to get TOO embarassed if it’s something really simple…
