Anyone out there “having” to use (s)Lotus Notes for their email ? I have to at work…company policy.
Looking for anyone that has found a way to make the “Rules” work. I am getting spam and the filter does not work.
I set it up to filter the incoming “sender” to the trash can, but it just bypasses it. Some filter. Wish I could use Eudora, that works.
Any help ?
Tim

AskWoody LoungerAugust 14, 2002 at 1:20 am #608345Well, most of the time I have the “sender” as the check point. Some filters I have are for “subject”.
I finally got the vendor to take me off his list so that I don’t get over 500 emails from them in one day.
I just think the filtering in Lotus is crappy. I use Eudora at home for mail and it filters correctly every time.

I am using R5.0.6a nad have noticed that the rules do not seem to run consistantly. I have a number set up filing mail into different folders according to keywords in the subject line.
A couple of the rules work spot on every time, others don’t work at all. The only consistancy I have have picked up on so far is that if the subject line is short the filter seems to kick in just fine, whereas if it is a long sentence containing the keyword it dosn’t seem to work. -
