LOST MY HORIZANTAL SCROLL BAR

For some unknown reason other than my rediculous blunder, I lost my horizantal scroll bar. I tried to get it back but the best I could do was open up a freeze pane window to get a horizontal scroll bar on the newly opened pane.

Anyone out there know how to fix this?

Have you checked Tools | Options | View and seen whether the Horizontal Scroll Bar is ticked?

For 2007, Excel Button | Excel Options | Advanced

Hmmm,
Has the left hand side of the scrollbar been moved right over to the right? – do you see a sort of double block at the right hand end? (pre 2007)

Is the Excel window fully maximized?

Yes GFamily the scroll is moved to the right and if i double click it is creates a split screen and i could move the scroll within the split screen. if i close it reverts back to a non usable horizontal scroll. I do have the worksheet maximized.

If you are seeing this, , you need to make sure you’re dragging the leftmost of the two blocks otherwise you will ‘split’ the screen as you’ve found.

On re-reading your reply I see you double-clicked; I suggest a click and drag (on the leftmost of the 2 blocks) rather than double-click.

If you don’t see a double block I suggest you reinstall Excel.
