Where does the report come into all this? I sounds like you are looking for a series of forms that allow the user to drill down into the criteria to specify. In Access, you don’t need a series of stuff like this, you can simply change the rowsource of the combobox to show the next level of selections. You can use a couple of unbound date time picker controls to allow them to enter the dates. The report sequence translates into grouping and sorting in Access reports. Assuming that your DATE, REVENUE CODE or OUTCOME CODE means that they can select one of these to sort by, reports have an OrderBy property that can be set from code.

        Hi Charlotte

That’s exactly what I’m trying to accomplish.

New to Access, is there example code you know of that will lead me in the right direction?

        Thanks, John

If you haven’t already done so, invest in some books on Access. And search this board on books for some of the recommendations that have already been posted. There are also sample databases on the CD, not only Northwinds but also a Solutions9.mdb that has a bunch of cute stuff in it. And this ">RptSmp00.exe that you can download.
