I’ve been using that really brilliant piece of software “PlaceBar” for ages and have recently been upgraded to Win XP and Office XP. PlaceBar doesn’t work bummer. Is there an XP version that I can grab from somewhere.

Also, when is search coming back?

From Woody’s Office POWER Pack (WOPR) – Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)[indent]

That feature was called the “WOPR PlaceBar Customizer”, but it is no longer part of WOPR XP/2002 since Microsoft has built facilities for customizing the PlaceBar directly into Office XP now (available under the “Tools” drop down button in the Open and Save As dialogs, and/or by right-clicking on any of the items in the Places Bar).
Instead, in WOPR XP/2002 we’ve replaced the PlaceBar Customizer with a utility named “Task Pane Customizer” that allows you to customize the ‘New Document’, ‘New Workbook’, ‘New Presentation’, ‘New File’, and ‘New Page or Web’ Task Panes in each of the host Office applications (much like the PlaceBar Customizer allowed you to customize the Places Bar in Office 2000).
Note: See the section titled “WOPR PLACEBAR CUSTOMIZER” for more information on this subject.
