In the add/remove section I have a number entries for a program I beta tested. I installed it quite a number of times while testing it. All but the most recent version have been uninstalled, yet they are still listed. When I click uninstall, I get an error message stating something like file not found. Which I expect, because the files don’t exist.

How do I remove these entries from the list?

    Any help would be appreciated.

      Rob,
If you are comfortable editing the registry go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionUninstall. Examine each key then delete the ones you don’t need. Alternately get X-setup from http://www.xteq.com[/url%5D. It is one of the best tweaking tools around. Be aware that it is very powerful and allows you to change many things including the add/remove list. So be careful.

I’ll dig into the registry tonight. I’ll check out Xteg setup also.

        Thank you,

If you REALLY do a lot of beta-testing, consider to obtain a good imaging program (as Norton Ghost), create an image of your system, and re-install the image each time instead of uninstalling betas. It will keep you off a lot of troubles.
