For fun and education, the itsfoss.com website is offering a Quiz to test our knowledge of Linux Logos. There are many Linux distributions, or “distros” available. The Wikipedia website reports that “Almost one thousand Linux distributions exist.” Also, the DistroWatch website has a list of “Major Distributions” that has Linux Mint listed first. Here is a ten question multiple choice quiz that is both fun and educational for anyone interested in the more common Linux OS Distributions / Distros.

How I received the “Linux Luminary” designation is pure luck because I must be a very good guesser on multiple choice questions. With fill in the blank questions, my mind oftentimes goes blank, and with True or False questions I sometimes have to rely on the flip of a coin. Have some fun and take this short quiz to test your knowledge of Linux Logos:

“Discover the distinctive logos of popular Linux distributions. This quiz is designed to test your recognition of various open-source distros. Whether you’re a seasoned Linux enthusiast or a newcomer, Linux Logo Lingo is an engaging way to measure your familiarity with the world of Linux.”

Microfix and Ascaris have proven over and over that they are our go to advisors for almost all things related to Linux. For us home users on Linux Mint 20.3 they have been extremelly helpful for solving problems and concerns. With their vast experience they help with other “Distros” also. When I took this Quiz, I could not name 10 Linux Distros, I am not joking when I said I was a good guesser. I think I had heard of maybe 5 other Linux Distros, and totally guessed on 5 of the questions. Do you think getting 3 out of 5 guesses correct should enable me to win the super lotto powerball jackpot? Or should I not waste my money there, and try to learn some more about other Distros? As an experiment, thanks to WCHS current post about the topic “Resolved” function, I am going to see if I can mark this Quiz Topic as Resolved, for now. Then the experiment will be to come back days later and see if I can remove or un-mark the “Resovled” status. As an additional Quiz question not related to Linux, does anyone have an idea / answer if this is possible? Thanks for taking the Quiz.
