    Hi

I am creating a document with lots of references in it. Some of the references are to the same information.

Can I reference an existing endnote?

Try: Insert|Cross Reference > Reference type: End note > Reference to: End note number (formatted).

      Paul thanks for that

While it doesn’t display the note it does link to the opriginal endnote reference

I’d have thought that’s all you’d want (Word’s design end-use for endnotes is for printed documents, after all). If you click on the inserted cross-reference, it takes you to the actual endnote reference where you can view the endnote.
