How do I link to a bookmark in a Word Document from and Excel spreadsheet. I’ve looked in MS Help to no avail.

    Thx in advance

      Try adding
      #bookmark
      to the hyperlink.
(Where bookmark is the actual name of the bookmark)

      (Works in Word/Excel 2K)

Suppose your word file was c:myfile and you wanted to go to the myBookmark01 withing that file? I tried insrting a Hyprlink “c:myfile.xls myBookmark01” but it did not work. I am using XL 97.

          Hi,
I think you need to change the hyperlink to point to:
          C:myfile.doc #myBookmark01
          (I’m assuming it’s myfile.doc not myfile.xls?)
          Hope that helps.

If it works, it would be:

          c:myfile.xls#myBookmark01

Note – no spaces. The ‘screen tip’ displays as “c:myfile.xls – myBookmark01”
Not sure if you can do it in XL97 though, but gotta worth a try.
          Try the attached.

When you choose Insert/Hyperlink from Excel, having tracked down the document, you can type the Bookmark name directly in the Named Location area. The Tooltip doesn’t show the Bookmark name, but it does work.
