Is there a way to link a Contact to items in the Global Address List (GAL)? On the Contact form, you can click the “Contacts” button to select items in Contact Lists, but I cannot see how to select items in the GAL. Thanks.

Marie-Therese, by VBA code GAL items are selected from a child of the AddressLists collection. There’s a snippet here that may help you. However, I’m a bit confused by your question about linking GAL and Contacts. They are separate AddressLists, one Server, one Client, though they may certainly have redundancies.
I knew there was some code about this somewhere, see this excel thread, especially the very last post!

AskWoody LoungerJanuary 15, 2004 at 5:04 am #768353I wanted to create a group of contacts for different areas. For example, we have several systems and each system has a contact person(s). So I thought I would create a contact and link it to the internal person responsible (from the GAL). This means that I wouldn’t have to enter their details again.

AskWoody LoungerJanuary 15, 2004 at 3:24 pm #768587Interesting. You are correct, it’s not as easy as it should be. See Slipstick – Making the GAL Portable regarding methods and tools for getting GAL data into an OAB and into Contacts.
