The database was created by someone else and linked to FoxPro (.dbf) tables. My reports and queries were working fine, but painfully slow. I thought that if I linked to the FoxPro tables, using the index files (.cdx), things might move more quickly. Followed the directions in help to select the index file for each table, but now things do not work at all. Every time I try to look at a table in the datasheet view, or open a query, I get an error “Operation failed”. Each .dbf file has an index file (.cdx) and an Access-created .inf file located in the same directory as the database as I believe it should. I am at a loss of what to look for next to resolve this problem.
    I would appreciate any suggestions.
