Let's show folder size in Windows Explorer

From Win 3.1 to XP sp3 I’ve wondered why folder size isn’t displayed along with file sizes.
Well, maybe it would slow things down a bit.
But as a click-on option that came with every Explorer window it would hardly make any difference except when in use.
When I have to know folder size, I’ve been going to TreeSize, all this long time.
Is there a utility that shows folder size within Explorer or a look-alike?

He is now recommending a program named Folder Size- http://foldersize.sourceforge.net/

Which is no relation to another program named Folder Size – http://foldersize.codeplex.com/

You can right click on a folder and select “Properties”. Depending on how deep the folder goes the stats will come up in a properties window that shows

1) folder size in GB and bytes
2) actual size (disk space used including wasted space)
3) how many files and folders under the selected folder
4) folder creation date

Many thanks – Folder Size 2.5 does just what I wanted – and Microsoft should have done. Brilliant – to think that it’s been around for several years!
