Legacy Microsoft Outlook for Mac: Support will end MC994282 · ASKWOODYLLC After October 2025, Microsoft 365 subscriptions associated with a Microsoft 365 account (personal, work, or school) will no longer be able to use legacy Microsoft Outlook for Mac. This transition marks a significant step towards a more robust, feature-rich, and secure email experience for all users. The latest version of Outlook for Mac has been part of the Microsoft 365 suite for the last four years. More than 95% of Microsoft 365 users have already moved from legacy Outlook for Mac to the new version. Learn more about the new features and benefits in our Outlook Blog and Release Notes. For information on what’s next, please follow the Microsoft 365 Roadmap for Outlook for Mac. How this will affect your organization: You are receiving this message because our reporting indicates your organization may be using legacy Outlook for Mac. We do not have access to the list of users, but we might be able to provide a list of device IDs if your tenant allows legacy Outlook to upload telemetry. Users will no longer be able to switch back to legacy Outlook for Mac after this change is implemented. Hi. I have to make this switch before October.  I am looking for experience/feedback on making the change from Legacy to the ‘new’ version of Outlook on Mac. I had done that a long time ago and switched back to Legacy, I don’t recall why – just that there were some features missing.  I will also read the Blog/other info above in Susan’s post.  thanks. Donna

Open Outlook, then turn off the Legacy Outlook switch

At any time, you can switch back by launching Outlook, then click on the Help menu and select Revert to Legacy Outlook.

Accounts added in the new Outlook for Mac will not automatically be added to Legacy Outlook, and vice versa…

thank you Alex.  I will check that info out.  But, support for Legacy will be removed in October, as per Susans’s post. I don’t want to use an unsupported feature, so I will have to remain on the “New” Outlook.
