• left arrow during data entry – Excel

It’s a simple thing; when I’m entering data in Excel, I often want to use the left arrow to go back and correct something. However, the left arrow moves me to the previous cell. How can I prevent that happening? I suppose I could write code to catch keypresses etc but there must be an easier way.. or isn’t there?

    Many thanks,
    Robin

Use the key instead of the left arrow

The arrows are for moving around the spreadsheet. The arrows will to move within the cell if you are in EDIT mode. You can get into edit mode by pressing or by dbl-clicking on a cell….
