AskWoody MVPOctober 18, 2016 at 12:19 am #1581801I’ve not tried them, I’m a Beta tester for enough products already
I think a lot of people are waiting for more details, like files listed and reports of possible bugs before deciding how to approach WU on W7 now. There are basically three choices, all, ‘security only’ and disabled. Alternatively, wait and see…

AskWoody LoungerOctober 18, 2016 at 8:24 am #1581852I used WU to get the updates for Silverlight, .NET and MSRT. I did not do the Security and quality rollup KB3185330. Instead, I went to MS Update Catalogue and downloaded and installed KB3192391 which I am assuming to be the security only part of KB3185330. I still get notifications for KB3185330 which I am ignoring for now. So far, no issues.

AskWoody LoungerOctober 18, 2016 at 10:34 am #1581866I installed all of those bar the infamous KB2952664 on my one remaining Win 7 laptop and while I don’t use it so much now, did for a while after the updates and nothing obvious untoward appeared.
I ran Disk Cleanup afterwards and it cleaned out 616MB of obsolete updates, but an update of 119MB in size had to have something about it.
