In an unprotected section of a document protected for forms, a user is having trouble with footnotes. Normally this menu option is greyed out in a protected document, but I’ve hijacked this using code to show the appropriate Dialog (wdDialogInsertFootnote). Although it’s not impeckable, normally this works sufficiently. But with this user, after inserting a footnote, and returning to the bodytext, adding more text on the page after the paragraph with the footnotenumber, is eventually causing the footnote text at the end of the page to move to the next page. The footnote text is only 2 lines long. “Making room” by inserting a manual page break doesn’t help. Copying the entire content of the doc as plain text in a new document and recreating the footnote didn’t do the trick either.
I tried to reproduce this on my PC, using both my own login and hers, but in both cases the foornote stayed put on the intended page.
Tried the Lounge search for ‘footnote’ but nothing significant found. Any idea’s?
