Hello — I have an older laptop that is running win 10  22H2 —   I have not used  for a few month now  so when I turned it on yesterday I ran win update to get it up-to-date

All when OK except for  KB4052623 — which failed to installed  — I tried a few times and they all failed  — can I use wushowhide.diagcab  to hide this update?

That’s a defender update.  I would see if your machine takes today’s updates and is happy, otherwise you may need to do a repair install over the top.

thanks for the info  — since defender is  “part” of windows — I found it in the MS-Store — would that be the starting point to  download and insstall it?

It should just automatically update without issue.  What error message/code are you getting and did the December updates install okay?

I turned the laptop off – so I don’t think that the updates installed —  will try today — thanks
