• KB4023057 installed on 20H2

I upgraded to 20H2 in May and today was the first day I checked for updates.

While hiding about 20 driver updates using wsushowhide, I thought I had hidden KB4023057, but it did not get hidden and was installed.

I have seen on the the forums that this update should not be installed.

Should I uninstall it or is it better to do nothing?

    Thank you.

      Uninstall it.
It will be in Control Panel\Programs & Features as a program entitled something about Windows Health.
Then check any settings you have changed to be sure it hasn’t set them back to the Windows  default.

      Thanks!  Uninstalled through control panel.

Might this update come back when I check next time?

I have continued hidding it on my main pc but not on my laptop. I think it’s the only thing preventing the 21H1 upgrade.

It got by me and installed.
I observed this behaviour before so I’m not surprised.
I clicked on the Update & Security tab and WITHOUT clicking on the Check for Updates,
the progress bar was already rolling and in it went.
This time it shows up in Quality Updates AND in Programs & Features
I didn’t run show/hide this time, my bad.

I think it’s the only thing preventing the 21H1 upgrade.

I don’t think so, anymore. I’ve let it install twice and still no notice for 21H1
