I have many KB text files in c:windows. Are they safe to delete? (XP Pro, SP3)

There are other text files, such as ocgen, msgscom – can these be deleted?

    Thank you much, Curious

The KBxxxx.log files may be deleted. They are just logs of the patch installation. If your system is running well you may delete the other log files also. Many will be re-created. Unless you are getting desparately short of disk space why bother? You always run the risk of accidentally deleting something important.
