After installing a few MS patches “in the blind” left me in the hurt locker, I’m a faithful follower of Susan Bradley. But her column yesterday left me puzzled. In the next-to-last section entitled Catching up on Aprilโs nonsecurity updates, she wrote the following:
Nonsecurity patches for Windows:
- [*]KB 2800095 โ Wudfhost.exe crashes with smart cards
[*]KB 2908783 โ Data corruption with iSCSI LUNs
[*]KB 2928562 โ Event 55 after encrypted folder is moved
– What to do: Office 365 subscribers using Click-to-Run will automatically get these updates silently in the background. You should be on either Office 2010 Version 14.0.7122.5000 or Office 2013 Version 15.0.4605.1003.
As an Office 2007 user, I’m wondering what I should do with KB 2800095 (which WU wants me to install)? I’m not really a computer wizard, so maybe I’m missing something in her advice?
Thanks —
Brint
