I postponed installing the June 2021 Win 10 update as suggested by Susan Bradley.  I just saw her new post today stating that it was OK to install the June 2021 update.  However, I we perplexed by her comment >> There are other issues to work out, such as interactions with the desktop if you are using Classic Shell or other menu programs.  I use Classic Shell.  Is there a conflict with the June 2021 Win 10 update and the Classic Shell program?  Will the Classic Shell program work after the June 2021 Win 10 update is installed?

Classic Shell hasn’t been in development since 2017, use/try Open-Shell-Menu instead.

Sorry….I am using Open-Shell … I called the program “Classic Shell” since that is the terminology that Susan Bradley used in her post and that is the original name of the program.

May be of interest to you – Open-Shell installs and appears to work OK in Windows 11 (leaked Dev) but I haven’t fully tested out as it is of no interest to me and has now been un-installed.

I still use the original Classic Shell and have had no problems with it with the June 2021 Updates for 21H1.

Works fine for me, too.  No issues with any version since Win 8.

Not sure what those comments could mean, I have those updates installed, no problems.

same here. no probs with either Classic Shell and Open Shell with the recent June 2021 or July 2021 Win10 updates on my end.

maybe a problem with the OP’s graphics drivers perhaps

I use star docks start10 and groupy programs – they both work absolutely perfectly on all versions of windows 10. I will test them on windows 11 when I upgrade…which admittedly won’t be for a while (if at all)

just remember that start10 is not free unlike with open shell and classic shell

I’m on 21H1, and have had no problems with (original) Classic Shell

The latest version of Open Shell is v4.4.160 (Formerly Classic Shell) and it works on Win10 and on my Win11 Insider.
There is a v4.4.169Beta, but I haven’t tried it yet.
