I have a form fill-able pdf, on document close if a certain field is not populated I pop up a message telling them to reopen and fill in that field.
Anyway I can abort the close in javascript it if it is not filled in?
    Thank you for your time.

Try putting several periods in the space. The form will recognize as being filled in. The periods are inobtrusive, and it is easy to change the entry later if needed.

Maybe I didn’t explain it correctly.
How can I prevent a form form being saved if they have NOT entered a required field?

You can use BBCodes to format your content.
Your account can't use all available BBCodes, they will be stripped before saving.
