I want to have an arrangement so that on first entering data into a worksheet cell A1 is available to the user to make a numerical entry. Thereafter when a calculation has been performed elsewhere on the sheet the result of that calculation appears in cell A1 and the separate calculation of which the contents of cell A1 are a parameter are revised.

Is this possible? And if so I would very much like to know how to arrange it.

You could use the Worksheet_Change event to monitor whether specific cells have changed, and if so, populate A1 with a value or a formula. I realize this is rather vague, but so is your question. smile

Thank you for your response. I understand the principle of what you suggest but I haven’t any idea how to implement it. Can you assist me please?

Please see the attachment. On opening a new worksheet amongst others cell D5 is blank. The user types a rental in that cell as well as typing appropriate data in other cells. The formula in cell E21 returns the result of the basic calculation. The next step is to enter a target rent in cell E25 that displays a target rental in cell E27. I want that target rental to change the rental in cell D5 each and every time the the target rental is recalculated.

I hope this is less vague!
