Is Access 2007 Program.mdb compatible with Access 2010?

I have a Program.mdb file that is compiled and opened and used with Access 2007

Can I open this same 2007 Program.mdb file in Access 2010 without it recompiling for 2010?

Can I open this same 2007 Program.mdb file in Access 2013 without it recompiling for 2013?

Do I have to do anything special to keep it from recompiling?

Access 2010 does list the .mdb format as being one it can open. The list I see in Access 2010 Save As shows only *.accdb. Google Search found pages showing Access 2010 does convert the files. I would imagine Access 2013 will do the same as Access 2010, Microsoft seldom goes reverts to older formats.

I have no problem opening my .mdb files created in 2003 in 2010. The recompilation needed is if you are referencing other objects in Office 2003 like Outlook or Excel. These references will need to be changed to the Office 14/15 (2010/2013) versions. HTH :cheers:
