I’m wondering if anyone else is experiencing my issue.
Since updating my iPhone 14 to iOS 16.5.1 the ability to receive text messages via the MyLink infotainment system in my car has gone.
The phone is connected to the infotainment system via Bluetooth and all other aspects work fine. By that I mean I can make and receive phone calls, play music from the phone etc.
To my mind it must be some aspect of the latest iOS update that has impacted the text messaging as previous iOS updates before the 16 series worked fine.
As my car is 6 years old the manufacturer has advised there are no further updates available for the MyLink system.
From reading other on-line forums it appears this is a common problem with cars fitted with MyLink, mainly GM cars.
Would it be worth pointing this issue out to Apple and if so how do I go about doing that.
