i am on 14.0.1 …..someone said it may be a good idea to hold off on updates. I think 14.2 has been out for a whilw… any issues that would indicate I should wait?

      thank you

It would have been nice if Apple had posted a popup (or an email or something) to tell me that when I upgraded my iPhone and iWatch to these latest versions, that I would be required to REAUTHORIZE data collection for the Apple Heart and Movement Study and other studies I am enrolled in.

I only learned ACCIDENTALLY, just now, that all authorized data collected had been stopped when I upgraded the iOS versions. I upgraded the day the new versions first became available. I expected better of Apple. It is not clear to me if those studies can access the missing data now or if that data is forever missing.

I have email issues with both my iPad and my iPhone, using the native email app, after the update for all my email accounts. Some are gmail and some are from my domain.
I have no idea what changed.

Have you tried checking your settings to see if you need to re-enter in any passwords?

Thank you for your reply Nathan. That was my next step. I can access gmail via Safari. I’m one day out of major surgery, not at my desk. At this stage, I’m researching and it looks like I’ve gone as far I can go. Lol

I think I had the same issue with the prior update. Mele20’s reply somewhat jogged my memory.

I’ll report back as soon as I’ve finished testing.

I’ve tried reentering passwords. No change. I deleted a gmail account and tried to add it again and it doesn’t allow me to add it. I deleted a domain account and added it back and it fails on verification with a message that the server can’t be reached.

i don’t know what else to do. I can access the email accounts via the web. I can’t access them from my phone or iPad.

Might be time to reach out to Apple Support: https://support.apple.com. Something is definitely amiss. I tried searching the Apple Support documentation for your issue, and I’m just getting a generic article which likely won’t help: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201320

I’ll see if I can dig up anything else.

Other two things you could try are reboot the phone and attempt to re-add, or force reboot your iPhone then try re-adding (instructions here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201412). See if that wipes out what’s causing the errors.

        What’s new in 14.3

In addition to adding ProRAW support and suggesting new third-party app suggestion features, iOS 14.3 also includes a variety of other changes for iPhone users. There is new evidence of new Home app features, new Apple Watch notifications, and more….
