Greetings all: I have a vehicle accident database and am trying to determine how many accidents have occurred by each age group, e.g. Age 1 = 400 accidents, age 2 – 350, age 3 = 450, age 4 = 250. This part I have calculated with a totals query using age as group by and (count) report number. What I would like to accomplish is a report with the grouping as such: Group 1 = ages 1 to 4 = 1450, ages 5 – 9 = 1350, etc. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. By the way, I have tried the grouping option on a report using interval and group interval of 4 but get undesirable results. TIA.

If your age groups have equal intervals, you can create a group level with a calculated expression in the report: in the Sorting and Grouping window, enter

      =[Age] 5

where Age is the name of the age field. Just use the standard group interval of 1.
