Internet slows as time Goes by.

Windows 7. When I boot my computer in the morning I get the full 20 Mb/s which gradually slows over the day. Around 6 o’clock I’m lucky if it’s 2 Mb/s but then if I reboot the computer I’m back up to 20 Mb/s which again degrades as time passes.

I have tried resetting my modem and cycling my router with no effect. Only a reboot of the computer works.

Any ideas gratefully received.

Hard to say what may be happening. Do you have updated drivers for your network cards?

Have you used Task Manager to compare what is running after you boot the system and then what is running when the system slows?

Have you used Task Manager to get a quick snapshot of resource usage?
