Just discoverd, IE9 not listed in Programs & Features. In fact, there’s no listing for any version. There must be a problem with the installation.

How would I be able to remove it, perhaps to revert to a previous version or remove it completly? The programs working so no problem there that I know of. I don’t understand how this is possible.

    How can this be fixed?

I need answers as soon as possible.

    All fixes will be appreciated.

Look for Windows Internet Explorer 9 in installed updates.

Thanks Joe, that’s just where it was. I was checking if it could be removed to revert back to IE8 if it became necessary.

      Hi Gloria,
IE9 is part of the ‘furniture’ on all Windows OS’S. It can be disabled from ‘Programs and Features’ and ‘Turn Windows features on or off’.

There should be no problem with the installation. IE9 is not listed in the “Programs & Features” section of the control panel.
As Joe suggests, look at your installed updates as shown in the attched photo…

So if it’s working, there is no need to remove it.

I recommend you try very hard to work through any problems with IE9. IE9 is faster, safer, & more reliable than IE8.

My thoughts exactly. Why change a browser that I like just to play a game? Sounds pretty stupid even to me. I have access to the Google Chrome browser and that’s where the game will be played from now on.

IE 9 is consider a system patch. You will need to review the install Windows updates.
In Vita / Win 7 on the left click “View installed updates” and scroll down to the Microsoft Windows section
in Windows XP click the “Show Updates” box and scroll down to Windows XP – Software Updates

Find the update that installed IE.
