Internet drops briefly

My internet runs well most of the time, but periodically the connection drops, or so the screen says.  Most noticeably in video calls. It only lasts such a short time I can’t trace where the problem is. I seem to remember a recent news latter mention software that would run a continuous test, but can’t find it! Or any better suggestions as to what I could check
