For a friend, sort of. He’s my accountant.
He is about 400 years old, takes his laptop to Florida, gets wireless access from The Best Western hotel if they have those down there.
Then he stays at a cabin of a friend of his secretary’s under-gardener in Aspen, or wherever, and there’s no wireless or high-speed cable access in the room.
He figures he has to dial-up to read The Toronto Star, although I figure it’s not worth the price of an electron.

If anyone knows of a U.S. and Canada wide service I’d be obliged.

He’ll probably put it down as a corporate expense, if I know him as I think I do(1).
He never goes to Scottsdale to play golf; he is always heading off there to check on some real estate for a client …..

I think that is a lost cause Chris. If such a service were available; where would the taxes go?

… where would the taxes go?

Good Point Don; I have lowered my standards.

Here is a blog on the “pay as you go”.
          Pay as you go

It says they use the Sprint network, so it should be US wide.

          Also, AT&T advertises WorldWide coverage!!!!
But you do have to have a monthly contact.

Thanks Micheal, I have passed that on.
If he uses it, I won’t hear about it until October at the earliest, but will post something here in that event.

If you can get cell phone coverage, Verizon, att, and others all offer internet service, many times with free usb receivers if you sign up for a monthly plan.
I think there is one now that has a pay as you go plan too. Saw a ad on TV but forget the brand.

Please spend a great deal more time watching TV, OK? (grin!)
