Intercept Security Warning (Ofice 2000 Word 2000 SR-1)

When starting a template from other folder than the “Workgroup templates” (File locations) the security dialog box opens and ask to accept macros or not.

Can I make a code in my template to intercept this warning, e.g. setting the security level to Low when opening the document and setting it to Medium when closing?

There are others much more knowledgeable about macros than I, but I seem to recall reading a much earlier post that asked the same question. The answer was “No”. If it were possible, then clearly the security protection would be worthless, because someone could write a malicious virus that would set the security to “low” for all documents.
