Does anyone have this mouse running on Windows ME. If so, how many tabs do you have when you check the properties? I can’t get my two side buttons to work.

SYMPTOMS
The Web navigation buttons on the sides of the Microsoft pointing devices listed at the beginning of this article do not work in a Netscape browser on a Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition-based computer.

CAUSE
This behavior can occur if the following conditions are true:

You run either America Online (AOL) versions 5.0 or 6.0 or Netscape Communicator version 4.61, 4.77, or 6.0 on your computer.
You run Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me) operating system on your computer.

I’m afraid I can only view this as yet just another reason to avoid ME.

‘Ditch Netscape’ was the first piece of advice you were given. Have you done it yet? Next, ditch Windows ME, and either wait for XP or get 2000 Professional.

Hi,
Which version of the Intellipoint software do you have? I used to have problems with the side buttons under NT using Intellipoint version 3.1. I now have Intellipoint 3.2 and Win2k and no problems at all. Not sure which change fixed it though!
